Sorry, just piling on. I haven't been able to get out and bust your chops in person so winter time potshots will have to do for now.

Just FYI, though the KTM's used one frame for '04 and '05 did an update to the frame in '06, however they use the same frame for all bikes SX / EXC / SMR. They do use differnt triples and suspension on the SMR's but not frame. Not sure if that carried forward to the special SMR they came out with in the last couple years.

I know that is the same for Husaberg, and I'm pretty sure the base Husky too, but I'm guessing your bike probably has some special stuff on it.

The Euro's due spend a lot of time stiffening things for their race bikes, so there is definitely something to be gained there, but most of the bikes that can be bought from a dealer didn't have anything special.

In '07 Loire got a couple special Berg factory bikes to run the Nationals, and they did all kinds of cool stuff to those frames. Way stiffer and they even cut off the steering stem, changed the angle, and added some gussets.

BTW, he got 2 podiums on that bike in '07 in AMA Pro, so contrary to your comments a while back about Monte Frank, Robert was actually the first to put a Berg on the podium in AMA.

Fuck you clowns - When Phil said he wanted to sell his Yami for something else, i asked him "why" with all the Graves stuff on it he would want to do so - His response, 'it is still an MX Frame and with all the choices out there of purpose built SM bikes, i just think that in the end, for racing, the SM built frames provide better results, ridden a few Huskys and KTMs and out of the Box, they just feel better" (he said this about my '04 stocker after riding it in comparison to his stock Yami and even more so with my '09)

I also asked Roman what he felt about it after making the jump from his CRF to a SMR husky and he mentioned it took a little to get use to but his SMR felt better for sure once he learned how to ride it as he was use to riding only Honda for years.

So, when 2 guys who's opinion I trust and have actually compared the two tell me the same, i tend to believe it - I am by no mens comparing this to top riders on $50K bikes but when the cat who was looking to get into it asked 'why" I provided insight

Ya'll can kiss my ass
Phill still wont beat tyler or Zac, none of us will ride these bikes to full potential that the pros do, how much quicker are your and romans lap times, im curious about that, you ripped some 58s on my yammie. friggin scott J with no more than 6 hrs of supermoto in his life was pulling high 54s and Brad Jerominski on scotts b grade sumo with shit brakes but brand new dunnies uks was pulling mid 55s with mx suspension and that was with only 45 total mins ever of sumo riding, by end of day avg 55s secs on the normal SBK asphalt only course - example of Chase and Lorie were running high 54s and low 55s - at our level its not going to matter.

What you are talking about comes down to riders & skill - Zac is truly talented and Tyler has zero fear - All I ever said was if given the chance to spend the same amount of $$ on a bike, one being a purpose built SMR and one being an MX Convert, why would you NOT buy one that is built for SM? - When asked why I said this, I gave the results of the conversations I had with (2) guys we race with - When Phil rode my old '04 for the first time, i asked him what he thought in comparison to his Yami and he said "Out of the Box, the SM bikes are much better and blow away an MX convert" - After he rode my '09 he was amazed that it came from the factory this way - I know that is not a fair comparison as the RR is not a normal SM but he said it handles just as good if not better than him Yami with all the graves shit on it - Main diff on mine is the trips and swinger which Roman already added to his 510 as well

Fuck it - You guys are fast and all ride MX converts - I am slow and don't know shit and got lucky finding my RR - Heaven forbid you have a difference of opinion but this has been par for the corse with you cats since I got into this - "hey look, Blue skys" - "No Dumb ass, you are wrong, that is more of a Purple than blue and you don't know WTF you are talking about"

Carry on ladies.....

yep, SMR still uses the same frame as the SX on the '12 models

Frank didn't start riding the Berg's until they came out with the 70-deg motor design in 09.....

Once I see laptimes from you that prove me otherwise its hard to belive this info. Do you have any laptimes from the same track and same track conditions? Not argueing with you but wouyld love to see the laptimes.

Yeah, Monte was the first to get a podium on the 70 deg motor, but the way it was portrayed even in Cyclenews at the time was that he was the first overall on a Husaberg. Not true. Robert took 2nd in Unlimited in Rd 1 in '07 at St. Louis and 3rd at Rd 7 in Redmond, OR.

I would send you here for proof:

Nope - I was out most of the time with the new Bike and when i was back, my ribs were still broken and i had zero strength on my left side - The only thing I have to go off of is the day i broke my ribs, Ryan was behind me filming and said he had to work a bit to keep up with me on the RR where with the '04, he had to slow down just to stay behind me to film

The RR maybe puts out 5 more HP than the '04 but the Susp and Rims make the difference as it is all handling with that bike

And how is my own personal acct with other riders from what they told me "hard to believe"? - WTF do i have to gain by lieing about "he said she said"?

I believe ya C - I just posted that link as that is where I got my info from and Monte did not seem to dispute it

Man, you guys are some butthurt pansies. I'm gonna have fun this year.
Hahahaha - You will if you have not already, see a tend here with this group - No matter WHAT I say, i will be told I am wrong regardless - I could race this shit for (20) years and spout off countless moments and will still get 'The Founders" telling me I am wrong - Been like this since day one and for years - Does get old after a while and makes me hesitant to comment, even if asked for a mere opinion

Im not bustin your balls, if i had the chance to buy a RR and the coin i would, but if youre going to base opinions on Phil giving race setup and ride reports than your higher on more drug than i ever thought - no offense to Phil but when scott has to explain to him as he didnt have a clue the engineering details of rake and trail and what the graves offset and shortend swingarms and all that shit does and what the 16.5 does - I wouldnt place my financial sumo bikes decisions on him.
And Roman? - If it was one person I prob would have never said anything as that is an opinion but when I hear it from 2 (even Ryan who switched to husky but I left him out so why not make that 3) that after riding MX Converts and true SM, they can tell the difference, well, I just share what i heard and stated my opinion as to why when I was asked

And for those on the outside, these conversations would take place the exact same way face to face as they do here - I spend about 2 weekends a month for 6 months with these jamoches and would not trade it for the world - I am just basically telling them to STFU.....as I would the same face to face

Nope - I was out most of the time with the new Bike and when i was back, i had zero strength on my left side Because im such a soft big wet pussy from California! Man i wish i was like these Chicago guys, tough, a real set of ballz, dont take no shit!
Love ya man:lmao:

Tony did you just quote yourself and then respond to your own quote? - And you call me high? - WTF?????

A priest, a rabbi, and an aluminum frame walk into a doctor's office............
The Priest says "I need an appointment but I cannot come in on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or Sundays because I have to lead Mass.
The rabbi says "I cannot come in Tuesdays, Wednesday or Saturdays because Temple I have."
Now the Doctor turns to the Aluminum Frame and says "So when are you available??" And the Aluminum Frames says, "Oh, Im flexible."
